BOL.fun is online adventure guide for Bol, Croatia. Our aim is to provide information for visitors of our Island as well as helping the local service providers promoting their offer. We are run by non-profit NGO Bol Fun Club.
We arranged special discounts and deals from local service suppliers to visitors in order to make their visiting experience more relaxing and fun.
When you want to make a reservation of some local deal, you deposit a small percentage to Local Deal Supplier. This deposit provides additional assurance that you will use the local deal you reserved. For every local deal you reserve you will receive an e-mail notification with complete info about the deal you reserved, which you can show on your mobile phone to the local deal provider to enable your reservation discount. Local deal provider conducts ticketing. If you don’t have a phone, you can also use your name at a local deal location spot, since we will inform them about your reservation details. In case the local deal provider is not able to fulfill your reservation of desired deal, due to bad weather conditions or unavailability of the deal provider to fulfill your reservation during your stay in Bol, they will refund the deposit.
Be sure to reserve your desired deal in advance so the deal provider will have more time to prepare and organize everything for your visit. We will do our best to avoid this situations, sending your contact information to local deal provider automatically after your reservation. They will contact you for deposit details and additional information about the desired deal, such as detailed time slots, special arrangements or unavailability. Our system is optimized to prevent those scenarios but there might be situations when deal is unavailable due to particularity of reservation options of the deal provider, such as group options for some deals or bad weather conditions. Bol is a famous destination resort and some services unfortunately have limited supply in desired time frame. Reserving your spot in advance through our Club gives you better chance to experience most wanted adventures in Bol.
This project is based on donation based civic crowdfunding ideas and GPL technology, creating an ongoing win-win situations for visitors of our Island and Local Service Providers. As the numbers of our visitors grow, we will be able to provide even better promotion of local services, more discounts and services for our visitors. Our system is constantly developing, using the newest technology standards in online security and your private data is protected by SSL standards.
The funds gathered through donations are used for operating expenses of our NGO, new equipment investments for better photo and video production, that is used for promotion of local services in Bol and Island Brač, as well as other projects the Club is organizing, which are compatible with our mission statement of improving the Island community.
